As a reminder, actions are tasks that you need to complete and discussions are important topics that you need to reflect on or collaborate with your team on. Read more about the types of actions in 15Five.
  5. [Optional] Customize your Action. Customize the action or discussion using the following optional options below.
    Assign an impacted person

When creating an Action from your homepage, you will be automatically set as its owner. You can click the + icon in the bottom, right-hand corner of the action box to assign an impacted person, meaning they're involved in the completion of the action or discussion. Unless you mark the Action as private, it will appear on their Actions List as well as yours.

    Select a due date

Click the calendar icon to set a date for when the Action should be completed/resolved.

    Mark the Action as private

To mark the action or discussion as private, click the lock icon. Marking an action as private means that only you will be able to see it, even if you've assigned an impacted person. If you add a private Action to a 1-on-1 agenda, the other 1-on-1 participant will not be able to see it.

Add the Action to your 1-on-1 agenda

If desired, add the action or discussion to your 1-on-1 with the impacted individual by clicking the dialogue box icon. This option will not be available when creating an action for yourself, as 1-on-1s require two participants.

At this point, the Action will appear in your Actions List and that of the impacted person (if you selected an impacted person and did not mark the Action as private). If you opted to add the action or discussion to a 1-on-1 agenda, it will also appear there. Any updates made to the Action from your homepage will be automatically reflected in the 1-on-1 agenda and vice versa.
  7. Mark the Action as complete. Once you complete the action or discussion, mark it as complete by clicking the checkmark icon to its left.
