Exclude an individual from participating in an engagement campaign

If you don’t want a specific user to participate in a particular engagement survey, you can exclude them as you create the engagement campaign. You can also globally exclude an individual from participating in all engagement surveys. This article walks through each of these processes.

Exclude an individual from participating in a single campaign

Engagement Admins can exclude an individual from participating in an engagement campaign during survey creation using the steps below.

  1. Click Engagement in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation.

  2. You'll land on the Engagement Overview page in 15Five. From here, click Go to Engage to open the Engage Portal.

  3. Click +Add Campaign in the top, right-hand corner of the page to open the 'Campaign Details' page.

  4. Add the person's name to the "Exclude" section under "Which employees would you like to include in this campaign?"

  5. Anyone added to this section will not receive an email prompting them to submit a survey response in the engagement campaign.

Globally exclude an individual from participating in all engagement campaigns

Engagement Admins and Organization Admins can globally exclude an individual from participating in engagement campaigns in feature settings using the steps below.

  1. Click on Engagement in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation.

  2. [HR Admins only] You'll land on the Engagement Overview page in 15Five. From here, click Go to Engage to open the Engage Portal.

  3. Click on the Settings gear in the top, right-hand corner of the Engage Portal and select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu.

  4. You're now in the "Employees" section of Engagement feature settings.

  5. Ensure you're in the "Active" tab.

  6. Click View to the right of the person you want to globally exclude from engagement campaigns to open their account settings.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and toggle the "Receiving Surveys" option to "Off" to globally exclude the individual from receiving engagement surveys.

  8. A popup will appear asking you to confirm your changes. Click Disable.

  9. The person will not receive any surveys for engagement campaigns moving forward unless you manually toggle the "Receiving Surveys" option to "Yes."
