Who has/hasn't submitted their review?

During a review cycle, you'll probably want to track who has submitted their reviews and who hasn't, so that you can stay on track and maintain completion. There are a few ways to see who has and hasn't submitted their reviews for a cycle that are outlined in this article.

If you would like a full report of all questions, answers, managers, peers, submission time stamps, etc, you will want to download the full progress report.

Note

Depending on your role in 15Five and your role in the review cycle, you may not see all filter options listed in the steps below.

Track submitted vs unsubmitted reviews and nudge accordingly

Option #1: Download a full progress tracker

1. Click on Best-Self Review® in the left navigation of 15Five.

3. Find the cycle whose progress you want to review and click on the name.

4. From the 'Cycle overview' page, there is a Download button at the top right.

5. Click Download and then click Full progress report. This report will give you an extensive CSV download that includes all participants, what reviews are being written about them, whether they have been submitted or not, the answers contained in each submitted review, and more.

You can easily filter the submission dates for blank fields to see who has yet to complete reviews of each participant. In the below example we filtered for 'Manager submit date' field is blank and can see all people whose managers have yet to submit their manager reviews.

Screen_Shot_2021-08-09_at_2.35.01_PM.pngThis is lengthy download and does require some manipulation to see exactly who needs to submit their reviews (or who has completed their reviews). It might be good option if you are already downloading progress reports regularly or if you aren't ready to nudge anyone yet. Keep reading for some quick actions you can take without a download required.

Option #2: Use review milestones to bulk nudge people

1. Click on Best-Self Review® in the left navigation of 15Five.

5. Click the Review milestones text to expand more details.

6. Find the milestone that pertains to the nudge you want to send. For example, if you want to nudge managers who haven't submitted their manager reviews, you'll want the 'Manager reviews' milestone. Then click the ... to the right of the milestone and Nudge.

7. A pop-up window will appear allowing you to customize your email and showing you how many people the nudge will be sent to.

Screen_Shot_2021-08-09_at_2.41.34_PM.png

8. Fill in the 'Personal message' field and click Send nudge email

You can take these same steps to nudge participants to submit their self reviews or nominate peers, peers to submit their peer reviews, managers to share or finalize reviews, and more.

The one con to this approach is that you cannot see from the pop-up who you are nudging. However, there is a way to see those people in option #3.

Option #3: Use filters to see a list and nudge one off

1. Click on Best-Self Review® in the left navigation of 15Five.

Depending on your role, you may not see all options in all filters noted in this article.

5. Assuming you want to nudge people who have not submitted their reviews, use the first filter to look at Review writers

If you want to nail down a group of people even further, use the other filters to look for people on your team or people reporting to a specific manager.

6. Scroll down to the 'Review Writers' list to see all people who are responsible for writing reviews in this cycle.

7. Using the filter at the top right of the 'Review Writers' list, choose which group of people you want to view— people with unsubmitted self, peer, upward, or manager reviews and filter accordingly.

Screen_Shot_2021-08-09_at_2.53.33_PM.png

8. Expand people's review progress to see how they are doing at submitting reviews, in this case manager reviews. According to the screenshot we can see that Natalie has submitted 4 out of the 5 manager reviews they are responsible for submitting.

9. When you're ready to send an email reminder to a review writer, click the ... to the right of their progress and then click Nudge to submit ____ reviews.
