Types of questions

This article walks through what types of questions you can create for Check-ins, as well as examples of each question type.


Types of questions in 15Five

Text

These are regular, plain text questions with no formatting. Plain text questions can be reported on using the Questions Dashboard after answers have been submitted.

Yes / No*

Yes / No questions allow for a simple "yes" or "no" response. Yes / No questions can be reported on using Trend/Poll reports after answers have been submitted.

Numerical*

Numerical questions are answered with a number. Numerical questions can be reported on using Trend/Poll reports after answers have been submitted.

Rating scale*

Rating scale questions are answered on a set scale, up to 10. Rating scale questions can be reported on using Trend/Poll reports after answers have been submitted.

Question bank

15Five provides a list of research-backed questions, called our Question bank, for you to ask your team so you can always keep Check-ins fresh. To add a question from the Question bank, click Set up.

Question bank questions may be any question type previously listed.

*These question types (Yes / No, Numerical, and Rating scale) are called "Metric questions" and are only available on 15Five Plus and Enterprise. For more information on plan features, visit our Pricing page.
