Early Adopter releases: Reporting

Announcing... 📈

Today we’re announcing early access to additional parts of our redesigned Reporting feature. We’ve rebuilt dashboards and reports from the ground up to improve performance and provide more actionable insights into how your employees are using 15Five.

Our goal is to provide you with the insights you need to drive adoption and increase engagement; ultimately, increasing the value 15Five brings to your employees.

NOTE ✏️: This feature release is a work in progress, hence the name 'Early Adopter'. You might come across minor bugs and notice some functionality that needs improvement. Please use the feedback survey to report bugs and functionality requests. If you feel the cons outweigh the pros after turning on these features, we are happy to remove them from your account until the feature is ready for all customers.

🕵🏻‍♂️ What's this Early Adopter Program all about?

We have completely redesigned the Reporting tab of 15Five. The changes will allow us to scale Reporting appropriately and continue to deliver new dashboards and reports. A little terminology to get this party started!

Dashboards contain data that is focused on high-level trends and insights.

Reports provide more detailed and specific data points for individuals and/or groups. You also have the ability “contact” directly from a report. (see below for details)

Dashboards and reports complement each other to paint a full picture of your company's 15Five usage.

What’s not changing as part of the Early Adopter Program

  • 1-on-1s Dashboard: We have not updated the data included in the 1-on-1s Dashboard yet; though we did move the location and make it its own dashboard.
  • Trends and Polls: No changes for Trends and Polls at this time.
  • Custom Reports: No changes for Custom Reports at this time.

💥💥New release details💥💥

Questions Dashboard

Our all-new Questions Dashboard gives you fresh insights into how questions are being answered on 15Fives. The Questions Dashboard focuses on three key indicators of questions usage:

  • Question answer rate: This graph takes your time filter, breaks it down into equal parts, and creates points for each part. Then calculates the overall question completion % (required and optional) on 15Fives that were due in each specific timeframe.
  • Overall answer rate: Gives you an overall look at whether or not questions (required and optional) are being answered in 15Fives, given your selected time filter. Seeing a dip on your graph or in comparison to last month? Perhaps it’s time to freshen up the questions. Seeing an increase? What questions have you introduced to help boost this trend?
  • Optional answer rate: Gives you an overall look at whether or not optional questions are being answered in 15Fives, given your selected time filter.A more focused approach on the optional questions.
  • Answers with comments: Out of all submitted answers for your time frame, what percentage of those answers have at least one comment? According to Gallup, when managers provide weekly (vs. annual feedback), people are 5.2x more likely to "strongly agree" they receive meaningful feedback. Now you can easily see how often managers are commenting on answers, as well as watch for trends week over week or month over month.

Questions Report: Metrics

To support the Priorities Dashboard, we’ve created a couple of metrics reports that allow you to dive deeper into the usage data of Priorities. To get to these metrics reports, click on 'See individual metrics' or 'See group metrics' at the bottom of your Questions Dashboard. Here are the columns we provide in this new report:

  • Name
  • Reviewer
  • Questions answered: The number of questions answered on a submitted 15Five(s) out of all questions on that 15Five(s) during the selected period of time.
  • Answer rate: The percentage of all questions answered vs all questions asked over the selected period of time. In other words, take the 'Questions answered' stat and divide to turn it into a percentage.
  • Avg questions per 15Five: The average number of questions asked per 15Five check-in for the selected period of time.
  • Reviewer comment rate: The percent of answers with at least one comment from the reporter’s reviewer during the time period selected.
  • Reviewer like rate: The percent of answers with at least one like from the reporter’s reviewer during the time period selected.
  • Avg Company-wide questions per 15Five: The average number of company-wide questions that are asked per 15Five check-in during the selected time period.

  • Last seen: The last time the individual was active in 15Five (not available on group view).

Questions Report: Answers

Metrics, check. Actions, coming right up. It's hugely important to not only see the answers to specific questions but to be able to easily interact with them through comments and likes. We’ve improved the experience of not only finding the right questions but seeing the answers and interacting with them. To get to this answers report, click on 'See answers to questions' under your 'Question answer rate' graph.

Finding questions

Introducing more filters for questions (than are available in Custom Reports) and a much faster experience to find the questions you’re looking for. As you search through both active and inactive questions, you can now see stats of how many answers were submitted for that question, when the question was last answered, and the scope of the question (company-wide, specific group(s) or individuals).

Viewing and interacting with answers

You found the question you were looking for. Now it's time to view all the answers using the 'View answers' link to the right of the question. Again, we have another new set of filters- so if you have hundreds or thousands of answers, you can drill down to a specific period of time and/or specific people that answered the question.

image__9_.png
From the list of answers, you can click directly on an answer to comment or like. You can also use the '...' to the right of the answer to complete any of the actions you would normally be able to do from that person's 15Five, like adding to a 1-on-1 agenda or passing it up.

Downloading questions and answers

From either the list of questions or the answers themselves, you can easily download all or a selection of questions and answers in Excel or CSV format.

NOTE ✏️: Only admins and managers have access to the Reporting tab with this update. Our data shows that less than 1% of reporters use Reporting on a frequent basis. We are exploring data options that will be geared towards reporters for future updates.

Priorities Dashboard

Ever wondered how priorities are being used across your company? Or how many people are carrying their priorities over week after week? The all-new Priorities Dashboard shows the trend of both the percentage of priorities completed and the percentage of priorities carried over. These priorities are pulled from submitted 15Fives and do not pull in draft data or priorities that are not actively being worked on for the timeframe. As with other dashboards, there are the highest and lowest completion metrics for both individuals and groups.

image__11_.png

Priorities Report: Answers

As with Custom Reports for Priorities, we display the details on each individual's priorities as well as the submitted status, complete/not complete. You can filter these priorities by time frame, people, groups, reporting frequency, and/or priority status to find exactly what you're looking for. To get to this report, click on 'See all priorities' under your 'Priorities completed' graph.

image__12_.png

NOTE ✏️: The priority's details will only be visible if you are able to view that person's 15Fives. Global viewers will be able to see all priorities. For more information on access to view 15Fives, please check out this article.

Priorities Report: Metrics

To accompany the Priorities Dashboard, we created a new metrics report that allows you to dive deeper into the usage data of Priorities. To get to these metrics reports, click on 'See individual metrics' or 'See group metrics' at the bottom of your Priorities Dashboard. Here are the columns we provide in this new report:

  • Carry over rate: The percent of priorities that were left incomplete and carried over after submission to the next reporting period during the time period selected.
