EXTRA! EXTRA! Today's releases are all about 1-on-1s. Now that we've got your attention—get excited! It's time to list the latest and greatest changes to 1-on-1s.
Static 1-on-1 links (for recurring calendar invites)
You've already got a standing 1-on-1 meeting with your manager or direct report on the calendar, but there is no quick way to get your current 1-on-1 from that invite... Until now!
New static 1-on-1 links allow you to copy the link from 15Five and paste the link into your 1-on-1 calendar invite. When 1-on-1 time comes, click from your calendar invite to be taken to your current 1-on-1 agenda with that person. Repeat this for every 1-on-1 on your list and every recurring 1-on-1 meeting on your calendar! (If you have Slack notifications on for Google calendar, the link will also come through those notifications and is clickable. All about the timesavers!)
This link can be found from your My 1-on-1s list. Click the ... to the right of the person whose 1-on-1 link you want to copy and then click Copy link to 1-on-1.
You can also copy the link from any current 1-on-1 agenda.
Add talking points in bulk
Need to add multiple talking points to multiple 1-on-1 agendas? As of today you can in one, quick step! Knock em all out. You can add talking points in bulk from the 'Home' page in the 1-on-1s section, from the 'Home' page under your to-dos, or from the 'My 1-on-1s' page at the top right. Add as many talking points as you'd like to any or all 1-on-1s on your list.
Link to 1-on-1s from Check-in
Check-ins and 1-on-1s are key for manager/employee relationships. That being said, it is important to be able to view and toggle between Check-ins and 1-on-1s easily. Some managers even like to look at their direct report's Check-in while drafting the 1-on-1 agenda.
To quickly access the 1-on-1 agenda with one of your direct reports, click the View your 1-on-1 with _____ link from their Check-in (look right under their name). This link takes you directly to your current 1-on-1 agenda.
All direct reports also have one-click access from their Check-in to the current 1-on-1 agenda with their manager.
A few quality of life improvements
- In the Next 1-on-1 column on your 'My 1-on-1s' page, all upcoming 1-on-1s will show the scheduled date, instead of just the word
- Click on someone's name from the 'My 1-on-1s' page to be taken directly to the current 1-on-1 agenda with that person.
- To view your 1-on-1 history with someone, click ... to the right of their name and then click View history.
