How Succession Nominations works
Succession Nominations follows a simple workflow to help you plan and track successors for critical roles.
1. Tag critical roles - Identify and mark roles that are essential to your organization.
2. Nominate successors - Add internal (and, if applicable, external) candidates for each role.
3. Set readiness - Indicate how prepared each candidate is:
- Ready now
- Ready soon
- Future
4. Route for approval - Submit nominations to designated reviewers and track approval status.
5. Monitor coverage - View which roles have successors and identify any gaps or risks.
6. Keep plans updated - Regularly update nominations and readiness as your team grows and changes.
