Review and Approve a Succession Nomination

When approval workflows are enabled, succession nominations require review and approval before they are finalized. Approvers are notified when a nomination is submitted for their review.

Create a Nomination

  1. Click "Growth Studio" in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation
  2.  Select "Nominations".
  3. Select "Succession" 
  4. Click "Nominate Successor".
  5. In "select role & candidate" section, select a Target Roles and Candidate.
    If checking External candidate (not a current employee), allows you to fill out employee details such as Full Name, Link, and add attachments. The external candidate does not get any notifications of their nomination. 
  6. In the "Assessment" field, fill out:
    1. Readiness level - How soon could this candidate step into the role?
    2. Retention Risk - How likely is this candidate to leave the organization?
  7. In the "submit for approval" field, you have the option to:
    1. Use the approval chain: Question Template, Approvers, and visibility (You can choose whether approvers can view each other’s responses to the nomination questions.)
    2. Automatically approve the nomination on creation.
  8. Once completed, click "Create draft"

Approve a Nomination

  1. Click "Growth Studio" in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation
  2. Select "Nominations"
  3. Click "Succession" to see all Nominations
  4. Click on a Nomination, review and fill-out details
  5. Once done, click Approve.

Manage a Nomination

  1. Click "Growth Studio" in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation
  2.  Select Nominations
  3. Click "Succession" to see all Nominations
  4. Click on a Nomination
  5. On the new page, click "Edit nomination"
  6. Once completed click "Done"
