When approval workflows are enabled, succession nominations require review and approval before they are finalized. Approvers are notified when a nomination is submitted for their review.

Access and availability

Create a Nomination
- Click "Growth Studio" in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation
- Select "Nominations".
- Select "Succession"
- Click "Nominate Successor".
- In "select role & candidate" section, select a Target Roles and Candidate.
If checking External candidate (not a current employee), allows you to fill out employee details such as Full Name, Link, and add attachments. The external candidate does not get any notifications of their nomination. - In the "Assessment" field, fill out:
- Readiness level - How soon could this candidate step into the role?
- Retention Risk - How likely is this candidate to leave the organization?
- In the "submit for approval" field, you have the option to:
- Use the approval chain: Question Template, Approvers, and visibility (You can choose whether approvers can view each other’s responses to the nomination questions.)
- Automatically approve the nomination on creation.
- Once completed, click "Create draft"
Approve a Nomination
- Click "Growth Studio" in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation
- Select "Nominations"
- Click "Succession" to see all Nominations
- Click on a Nomination, review and fill-out details
- Once done, click Approve.
Manage a Nomination
- Click "Growth Studio" in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation
- Select Nominations
- Click "Succession" to see all Nominations
- Click on a Nomination
- On the new page, click "Edit nomination"
- Once completed click "Done"
