Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Should I focus more on benchmarking or on improving our own engagement results?

We find that while benchmarking is important, the most meaningful conversations and improvements to engagement result from focusing on understanding your organization’s current level of engagement and where to take action to increase engagement using our driver heatmap and the ability to filter results by group.

What if my organization doesn't align with one industry?
If your company doesn't quite fit into one available industry, or if you're on the cusp of several, we recommend considering which industry organizations you consider to be your top competitors. What industry are they in? That's likely a good start for selecting an industry for your organization. If needed, you have the option to change your industry benchmark at any time.
Can I only benchmark against my selected industry?
No. As you analyze your engagement campaign results, you can use the "Benchmark Group" filter to filter against any industry. However, it's important to select the industry that best aligns with your organization in your company settings. 15Five requires data from at least 10 companies in a given industry to generate a reliable benchmark, so your selection helps ensure we can offer meaningful comparisons for others in your space.
