With this in mind, 15Five makes it easy to create 1-on-1s that automatically repeat— so you can focus on making your meetings count.

Make a 1-on-1 meeting repeat

This section walks through how to make a 1-on-1 meeting repeat in 15Five. In essence, "repeating a 1-on-1" means automatically generating a new 1-on-1 agenda with an individual at a selected, custom cadence. Once you set this up, continue to the next section of the article to learn how to create a recurring 1-on-1 event in your calendar app of choice.

  1. Click 1-on-1s in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation bar.

  2. You'll land on your My 1-on-1s page. From here, click on the name of the person you want to create recurring 1-on-1s with.

  3. You're now in your current 1-on-1 agenda with the selected person. Click Schedule 1-on-1 in the "1-on-1 Settings" box.

  4. Select a date for your next 1-on-1 with the individual.

  5. Select the "Repeats" option under "Recurring 1-on-1s."

    Note

    You won't see the option to set up recurring 1-on-1s in 15Five if you use the Google Calendar integration. To proceed, please disconnect your Google Calendar.

  6. Select a cadence for how often and on which day you'd like the 1-on-1 to repeat.

    Tip

    We recommend that managers hold 1-on-1 meetings with each team member for at least 30 minutes once a week or every other week.

  7. When you're done, click Save.

  8. You'll see your new 1-on-1 settings in the 1-on-1 agenda. A new 1-on-1 agenda will be generated on your selected cadence.

Add the recurring 1-on-1 meeting to your calendar

Once you've set up 1-on-1s to repeat in 15Five, follow the steps below to add the meeting and 1-on-1 agenda link to your work calendar.

  1. Click Copy link to 1-on-1 in the 1-on-1 Settings box.

  3. Open your calendar app of choice and create a 1-on-1 meeting event.

    Do the following as you create the event:

    • Invite the other 1-on-1 participant
    • Make the event recurring to match the 1-on-1 cadence you set in 15Five
    • ⭐️ Add the calendar link you copied in the previous step to the event description
  4. Once you save the event, both you and the other 1-on-1 participant can use the calendar link to easily access your current 1-on-1 agenda in 15Five.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why don't I see the option to make my 1-on-1s recurring?

It is not possible to set up recurring 1-on-1s in 15Five if you use the Google Calendar integration. If you'd like to set up recurring 1-on-1s, please disconnect the Google Calendar integration before proceeding.
