Action Plans in 15Five are strategic plans that HR teams use to organize and measure the work you're doing to improve HR outcomes. Once you've created an Action Plan and added actions, you can launch your Action Plan. Upon launching an Action Plan, managers will receive a launch email and see assigned actions on their homepage on the respective action's start date. You can always come back later to make edits, add people, or adjust due dates.

How to launch an Action Plan 🚀

  1. Click Outcomes Dashboard in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation.

  2. Open the Action Plans tab.

  3. Scroll to the "Drafted plans" section at the bottom of the page and click on the name of the Action Plan you want to launch.

  4. Ensure that you've customized the launch email that will go out to managers who are assigned actions as part of the Action Plan.

  5. When you're ready, click the Drafted field at the top, right-hand corner of the Action Plan Overview page and select In progress from the dropdown menu.

  6. You'll see a popup. Click Confirm.

  7. The overview page will display a banner noting that it's in progress.

  8. It will also appear in the "Action Plans" tab under "In progress plans."

What happens next? 🐾

Upon launching an Action Plan, managers will receive a launch email and see assigned actions on their homepage on the respective action's start date.

The launch email will contain the custom subject line and message you selected. Here's an example:

Assigned actions will appear on manager homepages on their respective start dates:

Managers can see all assigned actions assigned to them as part of the Action Plan by clicking on the Action Plan's name from within the assigned action:

As managers complete their assigned actions, they will mark them as "Complete" from their homepage.

As the Action Plan progresses, you can monitor progress and send nudges to managers from the Action Plan's overview page, ensuring accountability and measurable progress.
