  • Self reviews are reviews in which participants reflect on their own performance and development.

  • Manager reviews are reviews in which managers of review cycle participants share feedback about their direct reports. Additional managers, people who aren't a person's direct manager but are in a managerial role, can also submit manager reviews about an employee.
