Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) ❓
Each person involved in a Best-Self Review® cycle is assigned a specific role, which determines what they can see and do throughout the cycle. The main roles include:
- Review Admin: Sets up and manages the review cycle. Has full visibility into all reviews and settings.
- Cycle Collaborator: Supports the admin in managing the review cycle. Can view and manage all review data.
- Manager: Completes reviews for direct reports.
- Participant: Completes a self review.
For a full breakdown of each role’s permissions, check out this article: Roles in a Best-Self Review® cycle →
When managing peers in a cycle in which peer identities are fully anonymous, identity visibility depends on the status of the nomination:
- If a nomination is not approved, the peer’s identity will be visible to Review Admins, Cycle Collaborators, and Managers, but it will remain hidden from the participant.
- If a nomination is not accepted by the peer, the peer’s identity will remain anonymous to everyone, including Admins and Managers.
This ensures anonymity is preserved even during the nomination process.
