Integrate with Compright

Compright is a comprehensive compensation planning tool that automates and simplifies your own variation of base pay, bonus, and stock plans, as well as communications from managers such as employee statements and letters.

There are two ways to integrate 15Five and Compright:

  • Import 15Five Best-Self Review® results into Compright, including employee self-reviews, manager reviews, and private manager assessments. This is a one-way integration from 15Five to Compright.
  • Create a single sign-on (SSO) connection so that administrators and managers can use the same login credentials for 15Five and Compright.

Access and availability

⛔️ Required access to Manage integrations.
👥 This article is relevant to 15Five Account admins who are also Compright administrators.
📦 Performance results are available in the Perform and Total Platform pricing packages. SSO is available in all pricing packages.

The Public API key is 32 characters long. Not to be confused with the SCIM key, which is 30 characters long. The endpoint for your API, assuming you do not have a unique subdomain, is my.15five.com.

  7. Use the access token to link 15Five's API to your server.

Enter the 15Five API key in Compright

  1. Go to the URL for your Compright administrator account (e.g., mycompany.compright.com) and log in to your Compright administrator account.
  2. In the navigation menu, go to 'Integration' > 'Connectors'.
  3. Click 15Five in the list at the top of the screen. You may need to scroll right to see 15Five.
  4. Paste the access token from 15Five into the 'Key field' in Compright.
  5. Click Validate. If the key is valid, Compright will display a message that says the connection between Compright and 15Five is successful.
✏️

Note

Problems validating the API? If the connection between Compright and 15Five is not successful, send a message to Compright at support@compright.com. Describe the steps you completed and include screenshots of any error messages you received.

Set up SSO

To complete SSO integration, you must be using an Identity Provider (IDP) that supports SAML 2.0 (e.g., Okta, Azure, etc.) and 15Five must be set up as an SSO service provider.

  1. Go to the URL for your Compright administrator account (e.g., mycompany.compright.com) and log in to your Compright administrator account.
  2. In the navigation menu, go to Integration > SSO.
  3. Copy the Entity ID and Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) URL parameters from the SSO configuration screen in Compright and add those parameters to your Identity Provider (IdP) application to create Compright as another service provider. For example:
    • Entity ID: [companydomain].compright.com.
    • Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) URL: [companydomain].compright.com/saml/sso
  4. Copy the SAML metadata URL or download the metadata XML file that was created by your Identity Provider (IdP) application.
  5. Click the Create App Integration button to start configuring SSO from Compright as the service provider.
  6. On the SSO Configuration screen, click Step 1. Metadata configuration, then complete either of the following steps to configure SSO integration with a SAML metadata URL or XML file.
    • Metadata URL: Click the IDP Metadata URL option, paste the metadata URL into the field, and click the Save button.
    • Metadata XML file: Click the IDP Metadata File option, click Single, and select the metadata XML file to upload.
  7. On the SSO Configuration screen, click Step 2. Test SSO Login. This step needs a Name ID(assuming this name ID is provisioned by IDP and included in the SAML response) to test SSO configuration, then complete the following steps to test SSO integration.
    1. Enter a test name ID (typically yours) in the Name ID field for someone that is already set up in the IDP application. Be sure to test with a Name ID for which you also know the password.
    2. Click the Test SSO button, then click Yes to allow Compright to log you out of your current administrator account so you can test the SSO for the test user.
    3. In the window that opens for your IDP application, sign in as the test user. (Note: If you can’t successfully sign in as the test user, contact support@compright.com.)
  8. If you successfully completed the previous steps, click the Enable SSO button to enable SSO for all users.
  9. After you enable SSO, users can’t access the system without SSO. To disable SSO, log in again as your test user and disable SSO.
