This article covers the steps to launch a drafted Action Plan in 15Five. When complete, the Action Plan moves to In Progress Plans and action owners receive a launch email.
Required access: HR Outcomes Dashboard. Available in the Total Platform pricing package.
Before You Begin
- The Action Plan must be in Drafted status. See Create an Action Plan from Engagement Survey Results for instructions.
- Customize the launch email before launching. Changes cannot be made to the launch email after the plan is live.
Steps
- Go to Insights Dashboard in the left-hand navigation.
- Click the Action Plans tab.
- Scroll to the Drafted plans section and click the name of the Action Plan to launch.
- Click Launch Action Plan in the top-right corner of the Action Plan Overview page.
- Select In progress from the dropdown menu.
- Click Confirm in the confirmation popup.
What Success Looks Like
The Action Plan no longer appears under Drafted plans. It now appears under In Progress Plans on the Action Plans tab.
If Something Goes Wrong

| Launch Action Plan button is not visible | Confirm you have HR Outcomes Dashboard access | Ask your Account Admin to verify your role permissions |
| Action Plan does not appear under In Progress Plans after confirming | Refresh the page and check the Drafted plans section | If the plan remains in Drafted status, click Launch Action Plan again and confirm |
| Action owners report they did not receive a launch email | Check that action owners have active 15Five accounts with valid email addresses | Resend the notification from the Action Plan's overview page |
