Before You Begin ℹ️
Before getting started, here are a few things to keep in mind about the acknowledgment process:
- You’ll be able to acknowledge your review using the steps in this article after your manager has shared your review results.
- Once your manager finalizes the results, you’ll see an action item on your Actions List and a to-do at the top of your review overview page. You can click either of these prompts to go directly to the acknowledgment step. Refer to the FAQs at the bottom of this article to see what these items look like.
- Acknowledging your review results doesn’t necessarily mean you agree with them. It simply confirms that your results have been shared with you and that a performance discussion has taken place. If you’d like to provide additional context or share your perspective, consider using the optional comment field.
How to Acknowledge Your Review Results 🧑💻
- Click Performance in your main, left-hand navigation, then select Best-Self Review® from the dropdown menu.
- Open the review cycle you want to acknowledge review results in.
-
If you have a managerial or administrative role in the cycle, use the filter to locate your own review results. If you don’t, your results will appear by default.
- Click the three dots to the right of your name and select "View" to open your review results.
- You’ll land on the "Summary" tab of your review. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the "Acknowledgement" section.
- Check the box next to the acknowledgement statement, add an optional comment, enter your name as a digital signature, and click Yes, I acknowledge.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) ❓
Once your manager finalizes your review results, you’ll see two prompts to complete your acknowledgment:
- An action item on your Actions List (in-app link)
- A to-do item at the top of your review overview page (Performance > Best-Self Review® > Open review cycle)
Both options will take you directly to the acknowledgment step.
You may not see the option to acknowledge your review results if:
- The "Acknowledge Reviews" setting isn't enabled in Best-Self Review® feature settings.
- Your manager hasn't shared review results with you (meaning you don't have access to your review summary yet).
If you're a review admin, cycle collaborator, or manager, you can use the "Acknowledgment" column in the Participants List (located on the Cycle Overview tab) to see who has and has not acknowledged their review results.
Review admins and cycle collaborators can also achieve this by exporting the Full progress report, which contains an "Acknowledgment" column and an "Acknowledgment feedback" column. Once a review cycle participant acknowledges their results, the Full progress report will list the timestamp the employee submitted the acknowledgment.
No— the review acknowledgment setting in Best-Self Review® feature settings is an "all or nothing" setting, meaning that it will apply to all active review cycles.
