Acknowledge my review results

After results have been shared with a review cycle participant and their manager holds a final meeting with them to discuss results, 15Five gives the option for participants to "acknowledge" they've seen their review results and held a meeting with their manager. Employees also have the option to add a text comment as they acknowledge their results.

In this article, you will learn...

✏️

Note

For this ability to be available, account admins need to enable review acknowledgment in Best-Self Review® feature settings. The selected setting will apply to all review cycles, and changing the setting will impact all active review cycles.

Acknowledge review results

After a manager holds a final meeting to discuss review results with their direct report, the employee can acknowledge their review results by following the steps below.

✏️

Note

Acknowledging your review results doesn't mean you agree with them. It means that you acknowledge that your results have been shared with you and you've and had a performance discussion with your manager. If you disagree with your results, consider leaving a comment to provide context.

  1. Click on Best-Self Review® in the main, left-hand navigation bar of 15Five.

  3. Use the filter to pull up your own review results. If you are not a review admin, cycle collaborator, or manager, your review results will be pulled up by default.

FAQs

If an employee doesn't acknowledge their review results, can managers and admins still finalize the review?

Yes. Lack of review acknowledgment will not prevent a review from being finalized. Learn how to finalize review results.

Why might an employee not see the option to finalize their review results?

An employee may not see the option to finalize their review results if:

  1. The "Acknowledge Reviews" setting isn't enabled in Best-Self Review® feature settings.
  2. The employee's manager hasn't shared review results with them (meaning they don't have access to their review summary yet).
How can I see whether or not employees have acknowledged their review results?

If you're a review admin or cycle collaborator, you can report on who has acknowledged their review by exporting the Full progress report, which contains an "Acknowledgment" column and an "Acknowledgment feedback" column. Once a review cycle participant acknowledges their results, the Full progress report will list the timestamp the employee submitted the acknowledgment.

Can I turn on the review acknowledgment setting in only specific review cycles?

No— the review acknowledgment setting in Best-Self Review® feature settings is an "all or nothing" setting, meaning that it will apply to all active review cycles.
