The review assistant helps you refine an answer, think through feedback, and work with the review question in view. You decide what belongs in the final review, choose every rating, and submit the review yourself.

Before You Begin
- AI-Assisted Reviews must be enabled for the review cycle.
- You must be assigned to write a self, manager, or additional-manager review.
Steps
- Open the review you are writing.
- Select the question you want to work on.
- Open the review assistant. The selected question stays in view so you can focus the conversation on that answer.
- Ask 15Five AI for the help you need. For example, you can ask it to make an answer more specific, shorten or restructure it, clarify a growth area, identify what may be missing, focus on a project or outcome, check for bias, help phrase difficult feedback, or improve writing you drafted yourself.
- Review the response and edit your answer directly as needed. If the evidence behind the answer needs to change, update the context for that question and redraft.
- Select every required rating yourself. The review assistant can help you think through available evidence or draft the written explanation for a rating, but it does not choose a rating for you.
- Continue to the next question or select Submit when you have completed the required parts of the review. 15Five AI does not submit a review on your behalf.
How the review assistant handles your information
Previous conversations remain available, and the review assistant can retain preferences such as your preferred writing style. Information typed only into the review assistant does not automatically become performance evidence or drafting context. To use a performance fact in a draft, add it as appropriate context, such as a Note.
