Dynamic Feedback Overview

Open-ended comments from engagement surveys are displayed in the Feedback section of the Insights Dashboard.

Dynamic Feedback Questions

Employees are asked one of two questions at the end of an engagement survey based on their results. If an employee responded with more disagreement to a driver, we ask them about their recommendations to improve that driver:

  • Improvement: We noticed you rated the following statements lower than other statements. What recommendations do you have on what [Organization] should start or stop doing?

If an employee responded positively to all drivers, we ask about the driver they had the most agreement with to see what they would like to see the organization keep doing in that area:

  • Maintain: We noticed you rated the following statements higher than other statements. What recommendations do you have on what [Organization] should keep doing?

Employees provide their feedback related to a specific engagement driver.

Personal Results

Employees that submit Dynamic Feedback are able to view their personal survey results. We share what makes the employee most engaged:

  • The work itself
  • The interpersonal relationships the employee experiences at work
  • The employee's connection to the mission of the organization

Along with the area that leads to their engagement, we display the three drivers that they scored highest in. Employees can download the results to save for the future.

Note: Download functionality is only supported for desktop users in Chrome and Firefox.

View All and Filter Comments

Comments are available in the Feedback section of the Insights Dashboard. All comments will display by default, with the option to select a specific group to filter the comments. Comments are sorted alphabetically by engagement driver.

  • Full Access Leaders: All comments from employees are available to Full Access Leaders. To protect employee confidentiality, comments can only be filtered by one group type. Full Access Leaders can filter by any group within that group type as long as the group has at least 5 responses.
  • Limited Access Leaders: Limited Access Leaders only have access to the comments from employees in the groups they have access to.

Dynamic Feedback comments can also be filtered by sentiment and search is available in the Tools section. Full Access Leaders are able to download the dynamic feedback comments for the entire organization or a filtered group into a CSV.

Only full access leaders have the ability to filter comments. Limited access leaders cannot filter comments.

Dynamic Feedback Tools

Use sentiment, key phrases, and search to review Dynamic Feedback responses.

The Tools section of Dynamic Feedback allows you to filter and search responses to better understand the themes that were shared.

Anyone with Full Access to results can download all the Dynamic Feedback comments for the entire organization or a filtered group. Comments are available as a CSV.

Dynamic Feedback can be filtered to view comments from specific groups. To protect confidentiality, comments can only be filtered by one group type and groups that did not receive five responses to the assessment will display as hidden.

The Dynamic Feedback responses are analyzed and identified with the sentiment of the response. Responses can be Neutral, Positive, Negative, or Mixed sentiment. Each comment is labeled with the sentiment and feedback can be filtered by sentiment in the Tools section.

You can search for words or phrases within the Dynamic Feedback responses with the Search bar in tools.

Dynamic Feedback Removal Policy

Key to the effectiveness of 15Five engagement surveys is the assurance that your employee's comments and feedback are confidential, and that your employees are safe to honestly express their feelings about engagement and well-being.

Our policy is to display all submitted Dynamic Feedback comments in Insights, with very few exceptions.

Occasionally, you might feel as if a comment made in an open response item should be removed. We take these requests seriously and have a process in place to determine if a comment should be removed from the system.

In what scenarios will comments be removed?

We will only delete or remove comments in two scenarios:

  1. The comment can clearly be attributed to another user
  2. The comment is threatening or hateful to a specific people group

Comments attributed to another user

We will remove comments that were clearly written by someone other than the employee they are attributed to. This typically only happens when a user shares their survey link with another person. Removing or hiding comments from a user will also remove quarterly results for that individual.

Comments that are threatening or hateful to a specific people group

We will also remove comments that include hate speech or violently threaten others. These cases are rare, but we will act quickly when they do occur.

Disparaging or insulting comments like “I can't stand my boss, he’s stupid and I think he’s having an affair with my coworker” do not qualify under this policy.

In either scenario, 15Five will maintain employee confidentiality and will not provide any additional details about the source of Dynamic Feedback comments. Unless the comment includes a threat of physical harm, we will never reveal an employee's identity.

Process for Requesting Removal

If you believe a comment should be removed under one of the scenarios above, the request for removal should be directed to support@15five.com, where it will be escalated immediately to the team that reviews these requests. 15Five support team members, consultants, coaches, and account managers are not involved these requests. Once escalated, we will respond within 1 business day on the decision for removal. Removal can take up to 2 business days.
