In November 2024, we introduced powerful new tools and insights within the Engagement feature, enabling more precise, data-driven decisions to boost employee engagement, productivity, and growth. As part of this evolution, we are transitioning all Engagement capabilities into the 15Five platform, phasing out the legacy Engage Portal.

This article outlines the timeline for sunsetting legacy engagement reporting, ensuring you have a clear understanding of what to expect. During this transition, you’ll continue to have access to historical reporting options to analyze past engagement results alongside the new reporting tools.

Overview

At our 2024 Thrive conference, we announced new Engagement reporting tools that are integrated into the HR Outcomes Dashboard, providing HR leaders and managers with a centralized hub to view engagement data alongside other key performance metrics.

Historically, our Engagement feature has been managed separately from the rest of our platform in the Engage Portal, accessible via SSO. Over the next six months, we’ll be transitioning the Engagement feature fully into the 15Five platform and phasing out the Engage Portal. This change will streamline your experience by centralizing all engagement tools within one platform, improving usability, accessibility, and efficiency.

Timeline for sunsetting legacy engagement tools

1️⃣ Phase 1 (January 20th, 2025): What's changing

  • No legacy reporting for new campaigns: Legacy reporting options will no longer be available for engagement campaigns that begin on or after January 20th. Legacy reports will still be available for all campaigns that kicked off before January 20th.
  • Manage organization, people, and group settings in 15Five: Many settings that were historically managed in the Engage Portal will now be managed in 15Five, including organization settings, employees, and group management. These settings will still be visible in the Engage Portal as view-only, but can only be managed in 15Five.

2️⃣ Phase 2 (February 28th, 2025): What's changing

  • Create engagement campaigns in 15Five: Engagement campaigns will no longer be created in the Engage Portal. New campaigns will be created within 15Five.
  • New campaigns not visible in the Engage Portal: We're freezing the campaigns list in the Engage Portal. This means that new engagement campaigns will not appear in the Engage Portal and will only be visible in 15Five.
  • Migration of campaign change history: We're moving the campaign change history tab from the Engage Portal to 15Five.

3️⃣ Phase 3 (March 28th, 2025): What's changing

  • Legacy action planning no longer available in the Engage Portal: Before we released our new Action Plans tool, leaders had access to a legacy version that was specific to engagement campaign results. In March, we will remove the "actions" tab in the Engage Portal and customers will lose access to actions created using this legacy tool. If desired, actions can be recreated in 15five using Action Plans.
  • Coaching sessions no longer available in the Engage Portal: Historically, 1:1 and group coaching through 15Five Transform was managed in the Engage Portal. New Transform customers who signed up after September 2024 already manage their coaching subscriptions in 15Five. In March, we will remove the "sessions" tab from the Engage Portal and all Transform coaching customers will manage their sessions in 15Five. At this point, customers will lose access to historic coaching session details unless they recreate them in 15Five.
