Make an inactive user eligible for engagement survey participation

For individuals to participate in engagement surveys, their seats must be billed in 15Five. Active users automatically fill billable seats. If an individual is not an active user, you can mark them as using a billed seat so they're eligible to participate in engagement surveys.

How to change an employee's seat status

You can change an employee's seat status from the "Manage people" page or from their account settings page using the steps below.

  1. Click on the Settings gear in the top, right-hand corner of 15Five.

  2. Select 'People' from the dropdown menu to open the "Manage people" page.

  3. Open the 'Inactive' tab using the top navigation.

    Note

    The "Inactive" tab contains employees who have been added to the platform but haven't accepted their invitation yet—including those who haven’t been invited and those whose invitations have expired. Refer to our "Use the 'Manage people' page" article for more information.

  4. Check the boxes to the left of all users you want to mark as using a billed seat.

  5. Click Actions and select "Change seat status" from the dropdown menu.

  6. A popup will appear. Ensure the "Set to billed" option is selected, then click Change status.

  7. Once a person is assigned to a billed seat, they can be added to upcoming or active surveys.

    💡

    Tip

    If you don’t want a specific user to participate in a particular engagement survey, you can exclude them.
