Make an inactive user eligible for engagement survey participation

For individuals to participate in engagement surveys, their seats must be billed in 15Five. Active users automatically fill billable seats. If an individual is not an active user, you can mark them as using a billed seat so they're eligible to participate in engagement surveys.

How to change an employee's seat status

You can change an employee's seat status from the "Manage people" page or from their account settings page using the steps below.

  1. Click on the Settings gear in the top, right-hand corner of 15Five.

  2. Select 'People' from the dropdown menu.

  3. You're now on the "Manage people" page. From here, open the 'Inactive' tab, which contains employees who have been added to the platform but have not accepted their invitation.

  4. Check the boxes to the right of all users you want to mark as using a billed seat.

  5. Click Actions and select "Change seat status" from the dropdown menu.

  6. Select "Set to Billed" and click Change status.

  7. Once a person is assigned to a billed seat and you complete a sync from 15Five > Engage, they'll appear in the Engage Portal. If you make changes to employee data in 15Five, please complete an additional sync to ensure they're reflected in the Engage Portal.

    Tip

    If you don’t want a specific user to participate in a particular engagement survey, you can exclude them.
