Statement Table Overview

The Statements Report helps you understand how each survey statement influences overall engagement. At the core of this report are Predictive Impact Scores, which quantify the effect each statement has on engagement—empowering you to focus on areas that will make the biggest difference. This statement table offers detailed table of metrics for each survey statement, making it ideal for deeper analysis. Use this view when you want to examine individual statements closely or compare data like Predictive Impact Scores, average responses, percentiles, and response distributions.

✏️

Note

If your campaign used the Total Engagement or Engagement Score + Drivers survey options, the scores in this report are based on predictive impact scores, highlighting the statements that most influenced your team’s engagement. For other survey types, the report will reflect the statements with the highest and lowest raw average scores instead. Refer to the FAQs to learn more about how these scores are calculated.

This table is fully filterable, so you can tailor your analysis to focus on particular teams, demographics, or drivers—ensuring your efforts are aligned with what matters most.

"Pin Statements" Filter

The Pin Statements filter, located at the top of the statement table, helps you zero in on the most influential items.

  • Top 5 Negative Impact: Statements with the most negative Predictive Impact Scores. These highlight areas where low scores are significantly hurting engagement and should be prioritized for improvement.
  • Top 5 Positive Impact: Statements with the most positive impact, reflecting areas that are strongly supporting engagement. These are key strengths to protect and celebrate.
  • Top 5 Overall Impact: The five statements with the highest absolute impact—whether positive or negative—offering a combined view of what matters most.
  • Engagement Driver-Specific Statements: Focus on statements tied to a specific engagement driver (e.g., Autonomy, Purpose, Role Clarity) to see how they’re influencing overall engagement and where to take targeted action.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) ❓

What are Predictive Impact Scores?

Predictive Impact Scores are scores that predict, with high confidence, exactly how much impact a statement will have on employee engagement. They're powered by 15Five’s Predictive Impact Model—a machine learning model trained on hundreds of thousands of survey responses to identify which. Learn more about how the Predictive Impact Model works →

How are Predictive Impact Scores calculated?

Predictive Impact Scores are generated using 15Five’s AI-powered Predictive Impact Model. The model is trained on hundreds of thousands of survey responses and identifies how much each statement influences overall engagement. Learn more in our Predictive Impact Model: Tool Overview.

How are the scores in the Statements Report determined?

If your campaign used the Total Engagement or Engagement Score + Drivers survey options, the scores in this report are based on predictive impact scores, highlighting the statements that most influenced your team’s engagement. For other survey types, the report will reflect the statements with the highest and lowest raw average scores instead.

What’s the difference between average response and Predictive Impact Score?

Average response reflects how favorably or unfavorably participants answered a statement on a 0–4 scale.

Predictive Impact Score shows how much that statement contributes to overall engagement—regardless of whether the score is high or low.

How is the average response calculated?

Survey participants respond to each statement using a 5-point scale, from “Strongly disagree” to “Strongly agree.” These responses are converted to a numeric scale from 0 to 4, where 0 represents “Strongly disagree” and 4 represents “Strongly agree.” The average is then calculated across all responses.

Why don’t some statements have a percentile?

Percentile rankings are only available for statements from 15Five-created surveys. Custom survey statements (created by your organization) do not have percentile data because they aren’t benchmarked against other companies in the 15Five dataset.

What does it mean if I see "# hidden due to confidentiality"

This message appears when one or more groups don’t meet your organization’s confidentiality threshold. To protect employee anonymity, their data is hidden. Learn more.

Why don’t custom survey statements have Predictive Impact Scores?

Only statements from the full engagement survey are included in the Predictive Impact Model. Statements from other surveys—like Manager Effectiveness, Topic-Based Surveys, or custom surveys—are not used in engagement scoring and don’t receive Predictive Impact Scores.

Can I filter results by demographics or custom groups?

Yes. This report includes filters to view results by Group Type (e.g., department, location, manager) or demographic attributes (e.g., gender, tenure), depending on your organization's survey setup and permissions.

What is Organizational Commitment and why does it matter?

Organizational Commitment is a section in the "Other Statements" section of the Statements Report that highlights how emotionally connected and loyal employees feel toward your company. It’s based on responses to three engagement survey statements:

  1. It would take a lot to cause me to leave [Company].
  2. I am proud to tell others that I am part of [Company].
  3. I feel loyal to [Company].

These statements are grouped together to give you a clear view of how committed employees feel to staying with your organization and being part of its culture.

Why it matters: Organizational Commitment is a strong indicator of both retention and cultural health. High scores reflect a workforce that feels proud, connected, and loyal—key ingredients for long-term engagement. Low scores may signal potential turnover risk or a lack of emotional attachment to the company.

You can use this data to identify where to focus efforts—such as recognition, communication, or development—to build a stronger sense of belonging and commitment across your teams.
