Data insights on the HR Outcomes Dashboard help you evaluate trends and take action on the outcomes that matter most to your organization: Engagement, Performance, and Turnover. In this article, we'll walk through the data insights that are available to help you diagnose what's working, what's not, and where to focus HR's efforts for maximum impact.

Data Insights

To access data insights, click Outcomes Dashboard in your main, left-hand navigation. You’ll find data insights beneath the Engagement, Performance, and Turnover tiles.

The following insights are available. Use the dropdowns below to explore what each one reveals and how to act on it.

Objectives status
Tracks goal progress and alignment over time.

This insight shows the change in objective statuses week over week, giving you a clear picture of organizational performance trends. Use it to spot early signs of goal misalignment or stagnation across teams.

Note

15Five's Objectives feature helps teams set clear, measurable goals and track real-time progress. Objective owners can update statuses via Check-ins or the Objectives Dashboard. Status options include: No Status, At Risk, Behind, and On track.

  • Y-axis (vertical): Total # of company-wide, group, and individual objectives. This does not include self-development objectives.
  • X-axis (horizontal): Timeframe by week.
  • Color key: Objective status category.

Clicking 🔍 Explore at the bottom of the data insight opens the Objectives Status Report. It provides deeper visibility into status trends and includes a detailed team-level breakdown to help identify who has active objectives and how they’re progressing.

Performance and Turnover
Reveals who’s leaving—and how well they were performing.

This insight compares turnover over time by performance rating, helping you assess whether you’re retaining top talent or at risk of losing them.

  • Color key: Performance designation

Click 🔍 Explore to open the Performance and Turnover Report, which gives you a detailed view of employee exits over the past six months—including department and performance insights—so you can identify patterns and act accordingly.

Top performers and engagement
Monitors engagement among your highest-impact employees.

This insight reveals how engaged your top performers are based on your latest engagement campaigns. Use it to spot disengagement risks early and celebrate high-performing, highly engaged teams.

This insight helps you track changes in employee engagement across the company, enabling you to identify patterns, celebrate momentum, and intervene early if disengagement arises.

Top performers and pulse
Tracks morale of top performers through Check-in responses.

This insight is only available if your organization has held an engagement campaign. If you haven’t yet, don’t worry—Pulse data will still appear in the Engagement Scorecard, and you can apply filters there to view this data.

The Top performers and pulse data insights shows how your top performers are feeling based on their answers to the Pulse question in Check-ins ("How did you feel at work since your last Check-in?"). It helps you flag burnout risks and ensure your most valuable people feel supported.

  • Y-axis (vertical): Number of employees with a top performer designation (based on performance reviews or Best-Self Review® responses)
  • X-axis (horizontal): Timeframe by month
  • Color key: Numerical Pulse score given in the most recent Check-in

Click 🔍 Explore to open the Pulse Report, filtered by top performers. This report & filter help you visualize sentiment trends of top performers across the past 12 months.

Pulse
Visualizes overall employee morale and trends over time.

This insight is only available if your organization has held an engagement campaign. If you haven’t yet, don’t worry—Pulse data will still appear in the Engagement Scorecard, and you can apply filters there to view this data.

This insight tracks the flow of Pulse scores, helping you understand how employees are feeling week to week based on their answers to the Pulse question in Check-ins ("How did you feel at work since your last Check-in?").
