Configure Growth Studio settings

Growth Studio includes Performance Improvement Plans, Individual Development Plans, Succession, and an Org Chart. There are various settings that can help you customize the platform experience, from visibility to renaming a feature to align with your preferred branding. Access and availability

Growth Studio Access settings: 

  1. Click the settings cog icon, select "Features"
  2. Scroll down to "Growth Studio" on the feature page
  3. You will see two visibility options: 
    • HR Admins only: Only HR admins can access Growth Studio. Nomination approvers keep access to Nominations.
    • Everyone: Everyone in your company can access Growth Studio features relevant to their role (if marked as approver in nominations.

Note:

If an employee/manager is saying they do not have access to view Growth Studio in their navigation, it is usually because this setting is set to "Admin only". 


Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) settings

You can view PIP settings by going to the Feature-Growth Studio route, or by clicking directly into Growth Studio- Performance Plans- Settings tab.

Navigate to PIP settings:

  1. Navigate to "Growth Studio" in the left menu.
  2. Click "Plans"
  3. Toggle over to the "Settings" tab
  4. Select that "Performance Improvement Plans" tab

What settings are available: 

  • Update display name: Customize what you want Performance Plans to be called. You can keep as "Performance Plans/PIP" or you can change to suit your desired branding.
  • PIP Stages: Edit the names of each of the different stages
  • PIP Outcomes: Edit the names of each of the PIP Outcomes
  • Reason tags: Select or deselect reason tag options that you want displayed when someone creates a PIP. 
  • Acknowledgement requirements: Decide whether you want PIPs to be acknowledged at plan start and end, or just one or the other. You can also edit and preview the acknowledgement text. 
  • Notifications: See what notifications are sent out, and add select whether you want a reminder notification, and how many days before the due date you want that notification sent out. 

Individual Development Plan (IDP) settings

  1. Navigate to "Growth Studio" in the left menu.
  2. Click "Plans"
  3. Toggle over to the "Settings" tab
  4. Select that "Individual Improvement Plans" tab

What settings are available: 

  • Update display name: Customize what you want Individual Development Plans to be called. 
  • Permissions: Select whether you want to allow employees to edit or create their own IDPs, and whether you want a person's hierarchy to be able to view these plans. 
  • Approval: Configure whether you want IDPs to require approval before active.
  • Reminders: Set default reminder cadence for how often employees are reminded to update their Individual Development Plan. 

Growth Studio Nomination settings: 

  1. Click the settings cog icon, select "Features"
  2. Scroll down to "Growth Studio" on the feature page
  3. Toggle to "Nominations" tab

What settings are available: 

  • Terminology: Customize what you want Succession Nominations to be called. 
  • Readiness levels: Customize the labels and time ranges for each readiness level
  • Retention risk levels: Customize the labels for retention risk levels
