The Objectives section appears in self & manager question templates only. It lets you create questions tied to OKR performance for both the self review and manager review sides of a cycle.
Before You Begin
- Objectives must be enabled in your company's review settings before the Objectives section appears in your template.
- You must be working in a self & manager question template. The Objectives section does not appear in peer or upward templates.
Steps
- Open your self & manager question template and scroll to the Objectives section.
- Click Add a new question.
- Type the self review question text in the self review field — for example, "How was your completion of all objectives and key results you owned?"
- Type the manager review question text in the manager review field — for example, "How was [Name]'s completion of all objectives and key results they owned?"
- Click Show advanced options.
- Under Who is this question for?, select the audience — all participants, or a specific group.
- Under Ask a question for every objective?, choose one option:
- Leave unchecked to ask the question once, covering all OKRs the participant owns. - Check the box to ask the question once per individual objective and key result owned.
- Under Select a question type, choose Opinion scale or Text.
- If you selected Opinion scale, review the default 1–5 scale (Slightly below expectations → Significantly above expectations). Edit scale labels and descriptions, or add/remove points (minimum 3, maximum 7) as needed.
- To make the question optional, turn off Required question.
- To allow a written response alongside an opinion scale rating, turn on Include field for optional content.
- Click Save question.
