Create and manage a performance ratings rubric

A performance ratings rubric defines the performance-level designations and score ranges used to interpret numerical ratings in a review cycle. Admins create rubrics once and apply them when configuring a review cycle.

Before You Begin

  • You must have Review Admin access.
  • This feature requires the Perform or Total Platform pricing package.
  • 15Five provides a pre-configured rubric (15Five Recommended Performance Rubric) with three tiers: Above Level (80–100), At Level (31–79), and Below Level (0–30). You can use it as-is or create a custom rubric.
  • You can change the rubric assigned to an active review cycle only until the first review in that cycle is submitted.

Steps

Create a rubric

  1. Navigate to Admin > Reviews > Performance Ratings+.
  2. Select the Rubrics tab.
  3. Click Create rubric.
  4. Enter a name for the rubric in the Rubric name field.
  5. Enter a name for the first performance-level designation (for example, "Exceeds Expectations").
  6. Enter the minimum and maximum score values for that designation.
  7. Click Add level to add another performance-level designation.
  8. Repeat steps 5–6 for each additional level.
  9. Confirm score ranges cover 0–100 with no gaps or overlaps.
  10. Click Save rubric.

Edit a rubric

  1. Navigate to Admin > Reviews > Performance Ratings+.
  2. Select the Rubrics tab.
  3. Locate the rubric you want to edit and click Edit.
  4. Update the rubric name, designation names, or score ranges as needed.
  5. Click Save rubric.

Delete a rubric

  1. Navigate to Admin > Reviews > Performance Ratings+.
  2. Select the Rubrics tab.
  3. Locate the rubric you want to delete and click Delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.
