Once a key result is linked to a Salesforce report, you can change its metric settings or remove the Salesforce connection at any time from the objective editor.
Before You Begin
- The key result must already be linked to a Salesforce report.
- You must have access to create or edit objectives in 15Five.
Steps
Edit metric settings on a linked key result
- Click Objectives in the left-hand navigation.
- Find the objective containing the linked key result and open it for editing.
- Locate the linked key result. Click Edit to the right of the key result field.
- Review the alert: "Any changes made may affect current key result values." Confirm you want to proceed.
- Update the metric type: Percentage (%), Dollar Amount ($), or Numerical Value (#).
- Save your changes to the objective.
Unlink a Salesforce report from a key result
- Click Objectives in the left-hand navigation.
- Find the objective containing the linked key result and open it for editing.
- Locate the linked key result. Click Unlink report to the right of the key result field.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
- Save your changes to the objective.
Convert a linked key result to a child objective
- Open the objective containing the linked key result for editing.
- Select the option to convert the key result to a child objective.
- Review the alert: converting the key result to a child objective will remove the linked Salesforce report.
- Click Yes, convert key result to confirm. The Salesforce link is removed permanently.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Edit or Unlink report buttons are not visible | Confirm you have edit access to the objective | Ask the objective owner or a 15Five admin to grant you edit access |
| Metric change did not update the displayed progress | Check whether a Salesforce sync has run since the edit | Wait for the hourly sync, or ask an admin to trigger a manual sync from the Salesforce Integration page |
| Key result value changed unexpectedly after editing metrics | The alert warned that changes may affect current values | Review the selected metric type and confirm it matches the Salesforce report aggregate value |
