Import external performance data

Admins can upload external performance review data into 15Five so it appears alongside native review cycle data and populates the HR Outcomes Dashboard. When the upload is complete, the import status changes to Received.

> Note: Your organization may have renamed this feature. If you don't see Best-Self Review® in your navigation, check with your admin for the name used in your account.

Important: Imported external data populates performance designations in the HR Outcomes Dashboard. Full review content from external systems (such as Lattice or Workday) is not visible inside 15Five.

Before You Begin

  • You must have Account Admin access to Feature Settings.
  • Your upload file must be in CSV (.csv) or XLSX (.xlsx) format. Files in other formats must be converted before uploading. See Format a CSV or XLSX File for External Performance Data Import for requirements and available fields.
  • Your file must include at least three fields: employee name, employee identifier (employee ID or email), and performance designation score.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings > Features.
  2. Open the Import external data section.
  3. Click +Add review data.
  4. Type the name of the review cycle in the Name field.
  5. Type the source system name in the Source field.
  6. Enter the start and end dates of the review cycle.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Click Upload file.
  9. Select your CSV or XLSX file from your computer.

The import status changes to Received. 15Five's team will process your file and contact you to confirm performance mapping and rating scales. When processing is complete, you will receive an email notification and can proceed to publish the import.

Note: If you prefer to start from the Reviews area instead of Feature Settings, go to Reviews, click the arrow next to Add review cycle, and select Upload external data. The remaining steps are identical.
