What is Transform Microlearning?

Transform Microlearning is a powerful tool in 15Five that's designed to enhance manager effectiveness within the flow of work with bite-sized learning and continuous development. Microlearnings are video courses with interactive content that follow the Transform Learning Model, which is built on the fundamentals of adult learning. Course participants will learn best practices and share knowledge, practice the new skills and behaviors in a supportive learning environment, and get the resources they need to go out and apply these skills day-to-day in the flow of their work.

Tip

With Microlearning, you can get a taste of the kind of transformation possible through 15Five Transform. Transform offers on-demand and live training and coaching that's designed to help managers think as leaders who take action to keep their teams motivated, engaged, and thrivingโ€” leading to powerful business results.

Why we created Microlearning

We introduced Microlearning to our platform because we know how valuable improving manager effectiveness is on the three outcomes that are most important to HR leaders: Engagement, Performance, and Retention. These are the things that get the attention of the rest of the executive team and impact the business in a substantial wayโ€” and the best way to move the needle on these outcomes is through more effective managers.

Managers are vital to the success of your business. For example:

  • Up to 70% of an employeeโ€™s engagement at work can be attributed to the quality of their manager (Gallup).
  • One in two employees have left a job to get away from a manager (Gallup)
  • Companies with effective managers were up to 2.2 times more likely to outperform their industry peers in terms of revenue growth (McKinsey)

For the managers themselves, having the resources to continue their development is also a key lever in retention and engagement, as development opportunities remain a major reason that top performers either take or leave a job.

Benefits

  • Easy to use: Transform Microlearning is designed to be short and within the flow of your work with easy access within the 15Five platform, where managers are already using tools to help them lead their teams.
  • Integrated: The Microlearning content compliments the other features found in the 15Five platform so that you can immediately put new learnings into practice.
  • Curated: Microlearning was developed using research-based best practices on people management, grounded in our core management competencies. With Transform Microlearning, your managers get the training materials they need without being overwhelmed with the training they donโ€™t.
  • Continuous: Transform is consistently releasing new content that is backed by the latest science and research, so you can be confident your managers are always up to date on the latest best practices in modern management.

Roles and Visibility

Transform Microlearning is available to account admins and managers whose companies are on the Total Platform pricing plan. Microlearnings are well-suited for team leaders and first-time, struggling, and/or high-performing managers.

A manager's course completion is only visible to the manager themselves. For analytics, reporting, and visibility, we recommend upgrading to Transform.
