Before You Begin ℹ️
Before you get started, here are some things to keep in mind about assigning group coaching:
- Group coaching is available as an add-on for companies on any pricing plan. Sessions are delivered through a token-based system: each group coaching session (up to 10 participants) requires 5 tokens.
- Account Admins can purchase group coaching sessions by reaching out to your 15Five Account Executive.
- In 15Five, group coaching sessions are assigned to managers as actions within an Action Plan. Action Plans are strategic tools leaders use to organize and track initiatives that improve key HR outcomes: performance, engagement, and/or retention.
- Each Action Plan includes a set of actions (tasks or activities) that contribute to the plan’s progress over time.
Note
Before following the steps below, make sure you’ve already created an Action Plan.
How to Assign a Group Coaching Session 🧑💻

- Next, open the "Action Plans" tab.
- Click on the name of the Action Plan you want to add coaching to.
- Click the Add Actions button to open the "Add action to action plan" form on the left-hand side of your screen.
- From here, select "Coaching Session: Group" as the action type. Click Next.
- On the next screen, you'll see "Schedule a Group Coaching Session" as the action title. This field isn't editable.

- We recommend using this field to let managers know why they were selected for coaching and what success looks like.
- Select a designated scheduler for the coaching session. This is the individual who will be responsible for scheduling the session.
- Select the start date on which the action should appear on the Action owner's homepages and the due date by which the Action owner should schedule their coaching session.
- Now it's time to select up to 10 individuals you want to participate in group coaching.
- Click Next: Preview to open the action summary. Review the information contained in the summary to ensure that the action is configured correctly.
- When you're ready, click Add Actions.
What Happens Next? ➡️
On the selected start date, an action item will appear on the designated scheduler's Actions List prompting them to schedule the coaching session.
