Amaya transforms how HR leaders interact with their organizational data by bringing AI-powered analysis directly into 15Five. Instead of manually sifting through reports and dashboards, you can ask natural-language questions to uncover what's happening across your organization and understand the underlying patterns. Amaya connects people signals with product knowledge to deliver actionable insights while showing you exactly what data informed each response. Working alongside the Insights Dashboard's predefined questions and guided insights, Amaya adds the flexibility of free-form exploration and real-time follow-up to help you dig deeper when needed.

What is Amaya?

Amaya is an AI assistant that analyzes your organization's people data to surface insights and identify patterns you might otherwise miss. It pulls from engagement surveys, performance reviews, turnover data, and other 15Five tools to answer your questions in plain language—whether you're exploring what's driving engagement trends, comparing team performance, or understanding themes in employee feedback. Amaya does the heavy lifting of data analysis so you can focus on taking action.

HR teams often spend significant time pulling reports, cross-referencing dashboards, and translating metrics into meaningful insights. Amaya helps reduce that effort by:

  • Reducing time spent on manual people data analysis

  • Making it easier to explore complex questions without building custom reports

  • Helping interpret results by connecting signals across tools

  • Allowing leaders to focus on what matters most, rather than figuring out where to start

Amaya complements the Insights Dashboard by enabling open-ended exploration beyond predefined questions.


How to use Amaya

  1. Click Home from the left-hand navigation. It's also where you lands automatically when you log in

  2. Type your question in the search bar or click on any of the suggested questions to get started
  3. Press enter or click to get your insights

With Amaya, you can ask questions like:

  • "What’s our headcount by department?"

  • "Who are our top performers?"

  • "What are employees saying about their managers in recent reviews?"

  • "Which factors are most strongly influencing engagement?"

  • "How do engagement or performance signals differ by team or department?"

Amaya can summarize patterns, highlight differences between groups, and surface key themes from both quantitative and qualitative data.

Amaya is an evolving experience. Over time, you can expect support for additional data domains, deeper analysis and comparisons, more proactive suggestions and guidance, and tighter connections between insights and action. Future capabilities will continue to expand while maintaining transparency and trust.


What to expect when using Amaya

Amaya is designed to support your decision-making with these principles in mind:

  • Amaya provides insights, not decisions – Responses offer analysis and context to inform your judgment, not prescriptive actions
  • Context matters – Interpret results within your organization's unique culture, goals, and circumstances
  • Data quality affects accuracy – Insights are only as reliable as the underlying data available in 15Five
  • Sample size impacts reliability – Smaller data sets (such as responses from a small team) may produce limited or less meaningful insights
  • Continuous improvement – Amaya is evolving and may not yet support every question or data combination you explore

What's the difference between Amaya and the Insights Dashboard?

The Insights Dashboard and Amaya work together to give you flexible ways to explore your people data:

  • Insights Dashboard surfaces predefined, high-impact questions with guided insights to help you quickly spot trends
  • Amaya enables free-form exploration so you can ask follow-up questions and dig deeper in real time

Together, they help you move from visibility → understanding → action.

Can Amaya and the Insights Dashboard access the same data?

Yes. Both tools draw from the same 15Five data sources, including engagement surveys, performance reviews, turnover data, and employee attributes.

Who can use Amaya?

Access to Amaya is currently limited to users with HR Admins. This ensures insights are interpreted and applied within the appropriate strategic and organizational context.

Is Amaya included in my plan?

Amaya is available on the Perform and Total Platform plans. If you're unsure which plan you're on, you can go to Company Settings > Billing. You can find an overview of our pricing plans here.

How do I enable or disable Amaya?

Amaya works only when 15Five AI features are enabled in your account. If you can open Amaya but it isn’t responding as expected, start by confirming that AI features are turned on.

Enable or disable Amaya

  1. Go to Feature settings.

  2. Select 15Five AI.

  3. Choose one of the following:

    • Turn on/off all AI features: Click 'Deactivate AI'/'Activate AI'.

    • Turn Amaya on or off only:
      Keep AI features active, then check or uncheck the box next to 'Ask Amaya'.

Your changes save automatically.

Tip: If Amaya still isn’t working after you enable it, make sure you have HR Admin permissions and that your account is on the Perform or Total Platform plan.
