Give a High Five using Slack

This article explains how to send a High Five to a teammate directly from Slack using the /highfive command.

Before You Begin

  • The 15Five Slack app must be installed in your Slack workspace. See for setup context.
  • The recipient must have a Slack account using the same email address as their 15Five account. If the emails do not match, the High Five will not post to 15Five.

Steps

  1. Open any Slack channel or direct message.
  2. Type /highfive and press Enter.
  3. In the command field, @mention the recipient (e.g., @sophiafresch).
  4. Type the content of your High Five after the @mention.
  5. Submit the command.

What You Should See

The recipient receives a Slack notification. The High Five appears in the High Fives Feed in 15Five.
