As a manager or administrator involved in a review cycle, you're responsible for guiding participants through a smooth and effective experience. After reviews are submitted, there are four key actions that need to be taken: completing review summaries, sharing results, conducting final meetings, and finalizing results. Each step ensures a thorough and transparent process, setting the stage for meaningful feedback and growth.

The ideal order of events 🗓️

Below is the ideal order of events that you should follow once all reviews are submitted about a participant.

Complete review summaries
👥 Managers, Review admins, Cycle collaborators

Once a review cycle participant's self and manager reviews have been submitted and the 'Start sharing reviews' milestone has passed, the summary portion of their review will open up. At this point, it's time to fill out the participant's review summary. The review summary is a condensed version of all reviews written about the participant and serves as a discussion agenda as managers hold final review meetings with their direct reports.

Schedule and hold a final meeting
👥 Managers

The manager schedules and holds a final meeting with their direct report. This meeting should address the content of all reviews, even those that have not been shared verbatim.

Share results
👥 Managers, Review admins, Cycle collaborators, Sharing users

Share review results with the participant. This can happen either before or after the live meeting, depending on participant and manager preferences.

Make final changes and finalize results
👥 Managers, Review admins, Cycle collaborators, Sharing users

Make any desired edits to the review summary and finalize the results. Once this happens, no further edits can be made to that participant's review cycle unless it's reopened for editing.

Acknowledge results
👥
Review cycle participant

If the "Review Acknowledgement" setting is turned on in your company's Best-Self Review® feature settings, the participant should acknowledge their review results.

Once these steps are completed, the participant's review cycle is finished! If desired, managers can now work with their direct reports on creating self-development objectives based on review results to help them grow between now and the next review cycle.
