In this article, you’ll learn how to enable Demographic Attributes for your organization. Demographic Attributes allow you to capture and report on key employee data that isn't included in 15Five by default: Birth date, Ethnicity, Gender, Race, & Salary. Enabling and populating these attributes gives HR admins the ability to analyze engagement, performance, and retention outcomes through the lens of workforce demographics. This is an important step in helping people leaders identify patterns, address inequities, and drive more informed, inclusive decisions across the organization.

What Happens Next? ➡️

Once you’ve enabled Demographic Attributes, here’s what you can expect:

  • Demographic Attribute fields (Birth date, Ethnicity, Gender, Race, & Salary) will appear in the "Attributes" tab of People Settings and on employees' account settings pages.
  • Data still needs to be added: Enabling this feature only makes the fields available—it does not populate them. You’ll need to upload or sync the data to make the fields useful for reporting and insights. Learn how →
