Can 15Five employees see my data?

15Five employees cannot see user-entered data. When 15Five employees access a customer account, all user-entered content is obfuscated and unreadable. 15Five employees can see only identity and structural metadata — never responses, answers, or text entered by users.

Key Rules

  • 15Five employees access customer accounts only to review administrative and configuration settings.
  • All user-entered data is obfuscated at the system level — access to the account does not grant access to content.
  • 15Five employees see the minimum information necessary to identify system issues.
  • Engagement survey confidentiality operates under a separate policy. See How does engagement survey confidentiality work in 15Five? below.

Does 15Five use my data to build profiles or share it externally?

No. 15Five does not use performance reviews, check-in answers, 1-on-1 notes, or any other user-entered content to build psychological profiles or personality assessments of individual employees. Your work data stays within your organization's 15Five account and is used only to deliver the features your company has enabled.

When AI features are used, personally identifiable information is removed before any data is sent to 15Five's AI sub-processor. The sub-processor does not retain data after responding and does not use it to train its models. Data is encrypted with a key specific to each company.

15Five does not sell or share personal information for marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the service. The privacy policy references sharing data with potential acquirers in a hypothetical business transaction, which is standard legal language. Even in that scenario, 15Five would typically anonymize the information, and any recipient would be bound by confidentiality obligations.
