Configure Salesforce for Objectives

> Note: Your organization may have renamed this feature. If you don't see "Objectives" in your navigation, check with your admin for the name used in your account.

This article covers connecting your Salesforce account to 15Five so key results can sync progress automatically from Salesforce reports.

When complete, Salesforce appears as Connected in the Integrations panel, and all users in your 15Five account can link key results to Salesforce reports.

Before You Begin

  • You must be both a 15Five account administrator and a Salesforce administrator. See [What permissions are required to use the Salesforce integration with 15Five?] for details.
  • Only one Salesforce company instance can be connected per 15Five account. If a Salesforce connection already exists, you must disconnect it before connecting a different instance.

Steps

  1. Click the Settings gear icon in the bottom-left corner of 15Five.
  2. Select Features from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click Integrations.
  4. Click Enable to the right of the Salesforce option.
  5. Click Enable Salesforce.

> You will be redirected to the Salesforce login page.

  1. Log in with your Salesforce administrator credentials.
  2. Authorize the connection when prompted by Salesforce.

Confirming the Integration Is Active

After authorizing, 15Five redirects you back to the Integrations panel. Salesforce shows a Connected status. All users in your account can now link key results to Salesforce reports.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
Enable button does not appear next to Salesforce Confirm your 15Five role is Account Admin under Settings > People Log in with an Account Admin account, then return to Settings > Features > Integrations
Salesforce login fails or returns an authorization error Confirm the Salesforce account used has System Administrator profile permissions Log in to Salesforce with a System Administrator account and retry from step 5
Salesforce shows as Not Connected after completing authorization Check whether another Salesforce instance is already connected to your 15Five account Disconnect the existing instance first, then reconnect the intended instance
Redirected back to 15Five but Connected status does not appear Check whether the Salesforce authorization was completed or cancelled Repeat steps 5–7 and confirm you click Allow on the Salesforce authorization screen

Not Covered Here

This article covers connecting the Salesforce integration only. For instructions on linking individual key results to Salesforce reports after the integration is active, see Link a key result to a Salesforce report.
