A Manager Effectiveness question template contains the eight locked Manager Effectiveness Competency questions. Add this template to a self, manager, or upward review type when building a review cycle.
Before You Begin
- You must have Review admin access and Best-Self Review® included in your pricing package.
- Skip this article if you plan to use a 15Five default question template — the Manager Effectiveness questions are already included in those templates.
- The eight Manager Effectiveness questions cannot be edited. They are used for benchmarking across all 15Five customers.
- If you add Manager Effectiveness questions to a self and manager review template, only managers will see those questions in their self review. Non-managers will not see them.
Steps
- Click Performance, then Best-Self Review® in the left-hand navigation.
- Click the Template configuration tab at the top of the page.
- Click Create template.
- Select Questions from the template type pop-up.
- Click Create.
- Enter a specific name for the template (for example, "Manager Effectiveness — Upward").
- Select the review type: Self and Manager review or Upward review.
- Locate the Manager Effectiveness section in the Questions editor.
- Click ... to the right of the section name to edit the section title or description if needed.
- Click the purple Include these eight questions… link.
- Confirm the eight questions now appear in the template.
- Click Create Template at the bottom of the page.
- Review the questions in the confirmation screen.
- Click Looks good to save the template.
- Repeat steps 3–14 to create a template for an additional review type, if needed.
If Something Goes Wrong
