Complete an engagement survey as an employee

This article covers how to complete an engagement survey in 15Five. When complete, your responses are submitted and compiled anonymously for your leadership team.

Before You Begin

  • Your organization must have an active engagement campaign. You will receive an email from notifications@15five.com and/or a text message when one is available.
  • You must be included as a participant in the campaign. See Make an Invited User Eligible for Engagement Survey Participation for instructions if you believe you should be included but are not.

Steps

  1. Open the survey invitation email from notifications@15five.com and click the survey link, or log in to 15Five and click the survey action item on your Home page.
  2. Read each statement and select a response from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree.
  3. Continue through all statements until you reach the optional feedback prompt.
  4. At the optional feedback prompt, enter comments about an area you scored higher or lower than other areas.

> This step is optional. You may skip it and proceed to submission.

  1. Click Submit to finalize your responses.

What completion looks like: The survey action item no longer appears on your Home page after submission.

What your feedback enables

When leadership reviews engagement results, they can act on your responses in the following ways:

  • Workload: Identifies where teams are stretched too thin so leadership can rebalance workloads and reduce burnout.
  • Leadership communication: Surfaces gaps between strategic priorities and how those priorities are communicated to employees.
  • Professional development: Highlights demand for growth opportunities, which can lead to new development programs.
  • Workplace dynamics: Flags office politics or morale issues so leadership can address negative team dynamics.
  • Management practices: Reveals inconsistent management so leaders can provide coaching and ensure equitable treatment.
  • Process efficiency: Identifies workflow bottlenecks so the organization can reduce time spent on unnecessary tasks.

After reviewing results, your leadership team or manager may launch Action Plans to address key improvement areas. If you are assigned an action within a plan, it appears on your Home page with the plan context and a due date.
