Create succession nominations to identify candidates for critical roles and track their readiness.
Steps
- Go to Growth Studio > Nominations.
- Click Nominate Successor.
- Click Add nomination.
- Select a Target role.
- Select a Candidate (internal employee or external).
- Set Readiness level: Ready now, Ready soon, or Future.
- Set Retention risk: Low, Medium, or High.
- (Optional) Add a retention risk reason.
- (Optional) Link an IDP.
- Choose approval: Use Approval Chain or Automatically approve.
- If using approval chain, select a Question template and assign Approvers.
- Click Create draft.
Confirmation: The nomination appears in the Nominations list with Draft status.
View role coverage
- Go to Growth Studio > Nominations.
- Review the dashboard for critical roles and bench strength.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |

| Target role not listed | The role may not exist in 15Five | Add the role in Settings > Roles before nominating |
| Cannot link an IDP | The candidate may not have an active IDP | Create an IDP for the candidate first |
| Approval chain option unavailable | No nomination templates exist | Create a template in Nominations > Templates |
