Feature Overview: Agents & The Context Layer

15Five Agents are AI-powered capabilities that sit on top of 15Five's context layer, turning organizational data into actionable insights, completed tasks, and timely nudges. Unlike generic AI tools that work from a blank page, Agents reason over your organization's specific performance history, engagement signals, and work execution data to surface what matters most.

Access and Availability

  • Plan Availability: Available on select 15Five plans. Please contact your Account Manager for details.

  • Role-Based Access & Landing Experience:

    • HR / Company Admins: Full access to the Agents Hub. Default landing page is the Overview tab. They manage all configurations, integrations, AI Assisted Reviews, and Company Context.

    • IT Admins: Dedicated access to the Agents Hub, landing directly on the Integrations tab to link and assign work systems. They only see the "My Context" section under the Context tab.

    • Managers & Individual Contributors (ICs): Access is visible only if Focus Briefs are enabled and the user is part of the configured audience. They see "Focus Briefs" and "My Context" in their left navigation bar; they do not have access to the administrative Agents Hub.

Note: To ensure the highest level of security, 15Five is continually investing in our overall information security program, resources, and expertise. To review 15Five's security documents, and how we handle your company data, see our Trust Website.

Feature Structure

1. The Context Layer

The Context Layer serves as the foundational data infrastructure that fuels 15Five Agents. It continuously aggregates organizational knowledge into three core areas:

  • People and Performance Context: A living map of an employee’s continuous history within 15Five, tracking roles, tenure, performance history, engagement scores, competencies, goals, 1:1 notes, check-ins, and key organizational milestones (e.g., promotions, manager changes).

  • Work Context: Live execution data compiled from linked productivity, messaging, and collaboration tools alongside strategic company frameworks (values, goals, and role definitions).

  • Added Context: Written, explicit guardrails provided by users at all levels of the organization to guide how the AI reasons.

2. Agents Hub (Admin Control Center)

The centralized command center for administrators to configure, deploy, and monitor AI capabilities across the organization. It is organized into three workspaces:

  • Overview Tab: An administrative checklist that guides HR and Company Admins through the foundational setup steps, including integration status, Focus Brief configuration, AI Assisted Reviews activation, and context deployment.

  • Integrations Tab: The technical connection portal where work tools are linked and mapped. IT and Company Admins use this space to authenticate platform permissions, track active syncs, or provision workspace connections.

  • Context Tab: The repository for custom qualitative guidance, split into two visibility segments:

    • Company Context: High-level organizational directives (e.g., management philosophy, values, current strategy) that influence AI outputs company-wide.

    • My Context: Individual-level entries regarding personal work preferences, current focuses, and real-time priorities.

3. Left Navigation Access Points

The frontend interfaces where users interact with active Agent outputs, including custom dashboards, personal Focus Briefs, and immediate contextual feedback elements.

Key Rules

  • Data Isolation and Entitlements: Agents strictly mirror existing system permissions. Data extracted from private channels, private documents, or restricted tools remains completely isolated; an Agent will never surface an insight or summary to a user who does not already possess structural access to that underlying data source.

  • Dynamic Context Recency: The Company Context sub-tab functions as an active system instruction layer rather than a static archive. Adjustments to company values, goals, or operating guidelines apply immediately to all ongoing and subsequent Agent reasoning loops.

  • Audience-Gated Visibility: Standard employees and managers cannot view the Agents category or its downstream features in the navigation pane unless they belong to an explicitly targeted target audience for a deployed capability (such as Focus Briefs).
