HR Admins can turn an Amaya answer into a file they can download: CSV, Excel, Word, Markdown, or JSON. When you finish, the file is downloaded and also stays saved with the conversation.
Before You Begin
- You have the HR Admin role, and your company is on the Perform or Total Platform plan.
- 15Five AI features are turned on. See Configure 15Five AI feature settings.
- You want one of the supported formats:
- Spreadsheets: .csv (one table) or .xlsx (one sheet per table)
- Documents: .docx or .md
- Data: .json
- Your export fits within these limits:
- Up to 2 files per answer
- Up to 8 MB per file
- Up to 10 tables per file, up to 5,000 rows per table, and up to 50,000 cells in total
- Up to 200,000 characters of document text
- Up to 50 files per chat
Steps
- Open Amaya from the left navigation or the Home page.
- Ask a question that returns the data you need.
- Ask Amaya to export the answer in the format you want.
- Download the file Amaya creates.
Confirmation: The file downloads in the format you asked for. The file also stays with the conversation, so it is there when you return to it.
To find a file later, search your conversations by the file name. See Manage your Amaya conversations.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Amaya does not create the file | The answer fits the limits: 10 tables per file, 5,000 rows per table, 50,000 cells, 200,000 characters of text | Ask a narrower question, such as one department or one time period, then ask for the export again. |
| You asked for more than 2 files | Amaya creates up to 2 files per answer | Ask for the remaining files in a follow-up message. |
| Amaya creates no more files in this conversation | The conversation already has 50 files | Start a new conversation and ask your question there. |
| You need a chart as an image | Chart images are a separate download | Hover over the chart to download it as a PNG. See Download and Copy Charts and Tables in Amaya. |
Not Covered Here
This article does not cover downloading a single chart as a PNG or copying a table from an answer. See Download and Copy Charts and Tables in Amaya.
