Once you've identified challenges in your organization using the HR Outcomes Dashboard, Action Plans help you design and implement targeted initiatives that drive measurable improvements in engagement, performance, and retention.

How to Use the Action Plans Tab 🚀
The Action Plans tab (in-app link) is your hub for creating strategies that drive tangible improvements in performance, engagement, and retention.
- Click Outcomes Dashboard in 15Five's main, left-hand navigation.
- Open the "Action Plans" tab at the top of the page.
- You're now on the Action Plans Dashboard, which contains all in-progress, drafted, and archived plans created for your organization.

Apply filters. By default, you’ll see all Action Plans created in your organization. Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow your view.

Outcomes filter: Focus on Action Plans aligned with one of the three strategic outcomes—Engagement, Performance, or Turnover.

Metrics filter: See plans tied to specific metrics (these are assigned during plan creation).

Create an Action Plan. Click Draft Action Plan in the upper, right-hand corner of the page and follow the prompts to select outcomes, assign metrics, define actions, and launch your plan. Learn more →

HR Admins and Account Admins can create any type of Action Plan in 15Five—including Outcome-Based Plans, Engagement Action Plans, and Manager Effectiveness Action Plans—and assign actions across the organization.
Managers can create Engagement Action Plans specifically for their teams, based on survey results. This allows them to take targeted action on feedback and drive improvements in engagement within their scope of influence.
You can create Action Plans in three main places within 15Five, depending on the insight you're acting on:
- HR Outcomes Dashboard: Create flexible, outcome-based plans using custom filters or AI-generated recommendations tied to performance, engagement, or retention.
- Engagement Campaign Results: Build plans directly from engagement survey data using the Coplanner in the Statements Report or the recommended actions in the Overview tab.
- Manager Effectiveness Reporting: Generate manager-focused Action Plans based on AI insights from Kona, targeting specific development areas with recommended coaching and enablement activities.
You can also assign individual actions or bulk tasks without creating a full Action Plan using the Actions tab.
