When another participant nominates you as a peer reviewer and their manager approves that nomination, you receive a prompt to accept or decline. Accepting commits you to writing that peer review by the cycle deadline.
Before You Begin
- You must be a participant in the review cycle or otherwise eligible to write peer reviews.
- A nomination request must have been approved by the nominee's manager before you can act on it.
Steps
- Go to Reviews in the left navigation.
- Select the active review cycle.
- Scroll down to the Peers who have nominated you section.
- Locate the nomination you want to act on.
- Click Accept or Decline to review next to that person's name.
- If you declined, no further action is required.
- If you accepted, click Go to peer review to open the peer review form.
> Note: Accept only nominations for people you can provide specific, actionable feedback about. Accepting 3–5 peer reviews is a reasonable limit for most participants.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No nominations appear in the Peers who have nominated you section | Confirm the nomination was approved by the nominee's manager | Ask the nominee to check whether their manager has approved the nomination |
| Go to peer review button does not appear after accepting | Confirm the review cycle is still open and within its due dates | Contact your review admin to verify the cycle status |
| You accepted but want to change to declined | Peer review submissions are managed by admins | Contact your review admin to remove the accepted nomination |
