Automatic provisioning error — Resource None not found

When Okta attempts to provision a previously deactivated user, the provisioning job fails with the error "Resource None not found." This article covers how to diagnose and resolve that error.

Diagnose

Check: Was the user previously deactivated in 15Five?

→ How to check: In 15Five, navigate to Settings > People > Manage people and filter by Inactive users. Search for the affected user's email address.

→ If true: The user exists in 15Five as inactive. Okta cannot reprovision a deactivated user without a manual reactivation step in 15Five first. Proceed to Fix.

→ If not: The user does not exist in 15Five at all. This is a different provisioning error — contact 15Five Support at support@15five.com with the Okta provisioning log.

Fix

  1. In 15Five, navigate to Settings > People > Manage people.
  2. Filter the user list by Inactive.
  3. Locate the affected user by name or email address.
  4. Click the user's name to open their profile.
  5. Click Reactivate to restore the user's account in 15Five.
  6. Return to Okta and retry the provisioning assignment for that user.

What Resolution Looks Like

After successful resolution, Okta completes the provisioning job without an error. The user appears as active in 15Five's Manage people list and receives access to the platform.

If It Still Fails

Contact 15Five Support at support@15five.com. Provide the following:

  • The affected user's email address
  • The full error message from the Okta provisioning log
  • A screenshot of the user's status in 15Five's Manage people page
  • The date and time the provisioning attempt occurred

Not Covered Here

This article does not cover initial SCIM setup, general provisioning configuration in Okta, or errors unrelated to previously deactivated users.
