Enable Spanish for engagement surveys

Admins can request that 15Five Support enable Spanish for the Core Engagement Survey at the organization level. Once enabled, respondents can select Spanish as their preferred language when they open a survey link.

Note: Spanish must be enabled by 15Five Support. This setting cannot be changed in-app.

Before You Begin

  • You must have an Engagement Admin or Organization Admin role.
  • This feature is available on the Engage, Legacy Perform, and Total Platform packages.
  • If the campaign is already confirmed, unconfirm it before contacting Support. Spanish cannot be applied to a confirmed campaign. See Create an engagement campaign for instructions on confirming and unconfirming campaigns.
  • Custom questions are not translated automatically. Translate custom questions manually before launch.

Steps

  1. Go to 15Five Support and submit a request to enable Spanish for the Core Engagement Survey.
  2. Wait for Support to confirm that Spanish has been enabled for your organization.
  3. Open or create the engagement campaign that includes a Core Engagement Survey.
  4. Confirm the campaign.

What Happens After Spanish Is Enabled

Respondents receive the initial survey invitation email in English. When a respondent clicks the survey link, the survey page opens in English with a language selector visible. The respondent selects Spanish. The entire survey translates to Spanish for that session. From that point forward, that respondent receives both the survey email and the survey in Spanish.

Note: Spanish is available only for Core Engagement Survey types: Total Engagement, Engagement Score, Engagement + Drivers, Manager Effectiveness, and eNPS. It is not available for other survey types. To offer Spanish-language questions outside these survey types, add manually translated questions using a custom engagement survey.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
Spanish does not appear as a language option for respondents Confirm Support has sent a completion notice for your organization Contact Support to verify enablement completed before reconfirming the campaign
Campaign was confirmed before enablement completed Check campaign status — if confirmed, the language change will not apply Unconfirm the campaign, wait for Support confirmation, then reconfirm
Custom question text appears in English only Custom questions are never auto-translated Manually edit each custom question to add Spanish text before the campaign launches

Confirmation

Spanish is enabled when a respondent who opens a Core Engagement Survey link sees a language selector and can switch the survey to Spanish. If the language selector does not appear, enablement is not yet active.
