Exclude an individual from a single engagement campaign

Engagement Admins can exclude a specific individual from receiving a single engagement campaign during survey creation. When complete, the excluded individual's name appears in the exclusion list within the campaign draft and they will not receive a survey invitation for that campaign.

Before You Begin

  • You must have the Engagement Admin role in 15Five.
  • The campaign must be in draft status. You cannot add exclusions after a campaign has launched.
  • Engagement is available on the Engage, Legacy Perform, and Total Platform packages.

Steps

  1. Go to Surveys > Engagement in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Click the campaign name in the Draft campaigns section.
  3. Scroll to the Who do you want to participate? section.
  4. Check the box for Select specific individuals to exclude from receiving this campaign.
  5. Type and select the name of each individual you want to exclude.

What Correct Completion Looks Like

Each excluded individual's name appears in the exclusion field beneath Select specific individuals to exclude from receiving this campaign. They will not receive an invitation email when the campaign launches.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
The exclusion option is not visible Confirm the campaign is in draft status, not active or scheduled Exclusions can only be set before launch — create a new campaign if the current one is already active
A person's name does not appear in search Confirm the person has an active 15Five account Ask your IT Admin to verify the user's account status in People settings
The individual still received an invitation after being excluded Confirm their name appears in the exclusion field before launching If the campaign has already launched, use Resend an engagement survey invitation to manage participation, or contact 15Five Support

Engagement Admins and Organization Admins can permanently exclude an individual from receiving all current and future engagement campaigns by updating their account settings. When complete, the Receive engagement surveys checkbox on the individual's account page will be unchecked.

Before You Begin

  • You must have the Engagement Admin or Organization Admin role in 15Five.
  • Engagement is available on the Engage, Legacy Perform, and Total Platform packages.

Steps

  1. Click the gear icon in the lower-left corner of the navigation.
  2. Go to People > Manage people.
  3. Use the search bar or filters to locate the individual.
  4. Click the individual's name to open their account settings page.
  5. Uncheck Receive engagement surveys.
  6. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

What Correct Completion Looks Like
