Configure employee provisioning in the Rippling integration

Employee provisioning determines which employees receive 15Five accounts through Rippling and when those accounts become active. Complete these steps after generating your API key in 15Five and entering it into Rippling.

Before You Begin

  • You must have completed API key setup in 15Five and entered the key into Rippling.
  • You need admin access in both 15Five and Rippling.

Steps

  1. Open the 15Five app in Rippling and navigate to Employee Provisioning.
  2. Select which employees will have 15Five accounts created when added to Rippling.
  3. Click Save to confirm your employee selection.
  4. Set when employees will receive access to 15Five.
  5. Click Save to confirm the access timing setting.
  6. Review the list of pre-existing 15Five accounts that Rippling has attempted to match.
  7. For any account Rippling could not match automatically, select the correct 15Five account from the dropdown next to the Rippling employee record.
  8. Click Save to confirm all account matches.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issue Check Fix
A pre-existing 15Five account does not appear in the match list Confirm the account exists and is active in 15Five Log into 15Five, verify the account is active, then return to Rippling and refresh the matching page
Rippling creates a duplicate account instead of matching Confirm the employee was listed in the unmatched accounts view before provisioning ran Contact support@15five.com to merge duplicate accounts
Access timing does not apply to a specific employee Check whether that employee falls within the provisioning scope set in step 2 Adjust the employee selection criteria in Employee Provisioning to include that employee
