Configure Performance Metrics settings in the HR Outcomes Dashboard

Configure which review cycles determine performance designations (Top, Mid, and Bottom Performer) on the HR Outcomes Dashboard. When complete, the Performance tile reflects the selected cycles and coverage percentage.

Before You Begin

  • You must have Account Admin access to edit HR Outcomes Dashboard settings.
  • At least one qualifying review cycle must exist. See for eligibility criteria.
  • To populate the dashboard with data before configuring, see Populate the HR Outcomes Dashboard.

Configure performance metrics

  1. Go to Settings > Features > Outcomes & Manager Effectiveness.
  2. Expand the Performance Metrics section.
  3. Click Configure performance metrics.
  4. Review the data preview at the top of the page.

- The preview shows the distribution of performance designations across your organization. - The coverage percentage shows how much of your current employee base is represented in the selected review cycles.

  1. Check the box next to each review cycle you want to include.

- Use the Coverage column to see what percentage of designations each cycle contributes. - If an employee appears in multiple selected cycles, 15Five uses their most recent performance designation.

  1. For each included cycle, set the designation source:

- If the cycle includes Performance Ratings+, designations are assigned automatically from the rating each employee received. - If the cycle does not include Performance Ratings+, use the dropdown to select an opinion-scale question from the manager review.

  1. Click Save changes.
  2. Click Yes, save the current configuration in the confirmation popup.

Customize performance designations

  1. In the Source column, click Edit designations for an included cycle.

- This option is only available for cycles already checked for inclusion.

  1. In the popup, assign each answer choice or rating level to Bottom, Middle, or Top Performer.

- The lowest and highest categories are locked. Only middle categories can be customized. - You must assign at least one option to each designation. Designations must be ordered Bottom to Top.

  1. Click Update to save changes for that cycle.
  2. To edit designations across multiple cycles at once, select multiple included cycles and click Edit designations.
  3. Click Save changes.
Note: Click Refresh preview to update the data preview manually. The Performance tile updates after saving — if the tile does not reflect changes after refreshing, wait one minute and reload the page.

What Completion Looks Like

After saving, the data preview reflects your selected cycles and updated designation mappings. The Performance tile on the HR Outcomes Dashboard displays the updated distribution of Top, Mid, and Bottom Performers. The coverage percentage increases as more qualifying cycles are included.

To see which employees lack a performance designation, click # people do not have a performance designation. Use this list to identify gaps and launch a targeted review cycle if needed.
