> Note: Your organization may have renamed this feature. If you don't see "Performance Reviews" in your navigation, check with your admin for the name used in your account.
Admins and cycle collaborators can edit certain settings in a performance review cycle after it has launched. When edits are saved, the Review cycle settings page refreshes and displays the updated values.
Before You Begin
- Edits can only be made before the cycle's end date. If the end date has passed, extend the cycle first. See Extend a review cycle.
- You must be a review admin or cycle collaborator on the cycle. See Roles in a performance review cycle for permission details.
Steps
- Click Reviews in the left-hand navigation.
- Under Active review cycles, locate the cycle you want to edit.
- Click ... next to the cycle name.
- Select Edit review cycle from the dropdown menu.
- On the Review cycle settings page, click Edit next to the setting you want to change.
- Make your changes and click Save.
> Note: If no Edit option appears next to a setting, that setting cannot be changed after the cycle has launched. See What review cycle settings can and cannot be changed after launch? for a full reference.
What a Successful Edit Looks Like
The Review cycle settings page displays the updated value immediately after saving. No confirmation dialog appears — the refreshed page state is the confirmation.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Edit button does not appear next to a setting | The setting cannot be changed in an active cycle | See What review cycle settings can and cannot be changed after launch? to confirm; if the cycle must be changed, lock the cycle, clone it, and relaunch with the corrected setting |
| Changes do not appear after saving | The cycle end date has passed | Extend the cycle first using Extend a review cycle, then return to edit settings |
| Edit review cycle option is missing from the ... menu | Your role on the cycle does not include edit access | Confirm with your review admin that you are assigned as a review admin or cycle collaborator on this specific cycle |
| Reminder emails sent to participants after updating review timelines | Due dates were moved out by more than 3 days | Review the full notification schedule in Email notifications in a performance review cycle — reference catalog before adjusting dates |
