Use this process to review and correct job titles for all employees at once. After re-importing the CSV, changes appear immediately in 15Five profiles.
Before You Begin
- You must have account admin access.
- If your company uses SCIM to manage job titles, this process is unavailable. Make all job title changes in your SCIM provider instead.
- Job descriptions and responsibilities uploaded to 15Five are matched to employees by job title. Ensure job titles are exact — no extra spaces, symbols, commas, or words — before uploading.
Steps
- Click the Settings gear in the bottom-left corner of 15Five.
- Select People from the dropdown menu.
- Click Export to download a CSV of all 15Five profiles.
- Open the exported CSV file.
- Locate the job_title column.
- Review each row and correct any inaccurate job titles directly in the job_title column.
- Save the file in Unicode (UTF-8) format.
- Return to Settings and select People.
- Click Import and upload the saved CSV file.
If Something Goes Wrong
| Issue | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Job title changes not reflected after import | Confirm the file was saved as Unicode (UTF-8) before uploading | Re-save the file in UTF-8 format and re-import |
| Import option is unavailable | Confirm your company does not use SCIM for user management | Make job title changes in your SCIM provider |
| Job descriptions show mismatched or blank after title update | Check that edited job titles exactly match titles used in the job descriptions CSV | Correct the job title spelling in the profiles CSV or the descriptions CSV so both match exactly |
